How to: Compass

Compass School Manager is our main communication tool at Mernda Central College

From here, you can contact your child's teachers directly and receive updates from the College as normal.

Parents: Forgotten your password or want to have it reset?

If you have forgotten your Compass password - please send us an e-mail with your name and contact number to: support@mernda.freshdesk.com

We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Students: How do I log into compass?

Students will login to Compass with their eduPass ID
(school Google account) which was provided to them on a sticker.

Only the username and password is required to log into Compass (not the full e-mail address).

Communicating with Teachers

While the dynamics around how we deliver your child's learning has changed, our communication protocols remain the same.

Contacting Teachers

  • For learning matters: if you have any questions or are looking to touch base about your child's learning, please email your child's relevant teacher.

  • For general matters: if you have general questions around remote learning or are updating the College on your child in any way, please email your child's home group teacher.

By clicking on the 'Send email to (your child's name)'s teachers' button, you will be able to add or remove the teachers that you need to get in touch with.

Getting to Know Your Compass Home Screen

  • School Calendar - view details of upcoming events, your child's timetable and other relevant school-wide activities.

  • Your Child - Provides you with a quick summary of available options and highlights a summary of upcoming and overdue tasks. To access more information click on the relevant quick link or select Profile to access detailed information about your child.

  • News - Recent school news items and information relevant to you. This may include newsletters, details of upcoming events and much more.
