Mernda Central College has been constructed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project. Under the PPP model, the college has been financed, designed, constructed and maintained by the private sector to high contractual standards over 25 years, allowing Principals and teachers to focus on student learning, rather than asset management.
The College, located on Breadalbane Avenue, Mernda in the City of Whittlesea, commenced operation in January 2017. Initial programs catered for students in Years Foundation to 7. The College will continue to grow to Year 12 in 2022.
